Verzinkshop DeepSeal metal sealer is a professional, water-dissipating metal sealer on oil and solvent basis with calcium-based corrosion inhibitors. The sealer is very suitable for protecting conversion coatings, galvanized objects or for the storage of bare metals.

The transparent film penetrates pores and recesses, expelling moisture and leaving a uniform, polar, non-conductive protective layer. The film remains stable at high humidity and elevated temperature. DeepSeal is usually safe on plastic, rubber, paint and some silicones (test first)

The DeepSeal metal oil sealer is a professional, water-repellent and anti-rust sealer for durable protection of bare steel, iron and conversion coatings such as black oxide and patina, or to be used after electroplating for extra protection of the applied metal. To be applied to dry or wet metal. Meets US MIL-C-16173D (Grade 3) requirements for water expulsion. This metal sealer is suitable for indoor and, depending on the conditions, outdoors.

Features of DeepSeal Verzinkshop

This water-repellent sealer has the following features:

• Water-expelling, anti-rust oil sealer for bare metal and conversion coatings.
• Transparent, non-conductive film, dry to the touch and very light oily.
• Does not become sticky in high humidity or high temperature.
• Deepens the color of black oxide and patina.
• Compatible with many plastics, rubber and paints – test first in an inconspicuous area.
• Updating possible without visible transition (depending on the method).
• Combustible: process in a well-ventilated area.

Key features of DeepSeal

• Coverage: approximately 50 m² per litre.
• Film thickness (dip): approx. 0.003 mm.
• Application: undiluted.
• Salt spray test: approx. 70–90 hours (guide value, depending on substrate and working method).
• Cleaning/removal (maintenance): strong solvents (such as acetone) or turpentine-containing cleaners, powerful degreasers and alkaline soap can reduce the water-repellent sealer. After intensive cleaning, treat with the sealer for optimal protection.

Use of Verzinkshop DeepSeal Metal Sealer

1. Clean and degrease the surface. Apply to wet or dry metal. After the black oxide process, preferably seal directly from the rinsing bath without drying the object.
2. Apply Deepseal by immersion or with a brush, cloth or sponge.
3. Leave on for 2–5 minutes, then allow excess sealer to drip off.
4. Let the object dry. After drying, polish with a clean cloth to remove the remaining sealer.
