Metal Chemical Blackening with Verzinkshop Black Metal Oxide Ultra Liquid

Verzinkshop Black Metal Oxide Ultra Liquid is the Black Oxide Ultra concentrate, mixed ready-to-use at 1:9 (100 ml concentrate + 900 ml water), which makes metal blackening easy. The treatment gives an even, very dark black conversion coating with no noticeable size change.

Use as with the concentrate: usually dip for 2–3 minutes, then rinse and seal immediately for corrosion protection and maximum black depth. Not suitable for stainless steel. Can be additionally diluted to 1:12 by adding 300 ml of water to 1 liter of 1:9 solution.

Chemical blackening of metal is quick and simple:

• Liquid is ready to use – can be diluted by an additional 30% with 300 ml of water per liter of liquid.
• Works on cold and hot-rolled iron and steel, structural steel, alloy steel, tool steel (including A2), cast iron, forged steel and powder metal. Not suitable for stainless steel.
• The process usually takes 2 to 3 minutes, up to 5 minutes.
• Must be finished with a sealer, preferably while the surface is still wet.
