Verzinkshop V-Brite 100 copper electrolyte ready to use for a very filling and clear layer of copper.

Copper Electrolyte – Electrolyte V-Brite 100

Verzinkshop V-Brite 100 copper electrolyte applies a clear, thick copper layer with high filling capacity. The outlet is soft and flexible with low internal tension and is easy to sand. Suitable for copper-plating metal surfaces such as copper, brass and nickel.

In addition, V-Brite 100 is very suitable for electroforming and copper-plating of non-conductive objects. Think of plastic copper-plating or other plastics or copper-plating stone, glass, paper or other organic materials. First make the object conductive with conductive paint, let it dry and then place it in the electroforming bath.

brightener is included with the V-Brite 100 copper electrolyte: V-Brite X brightener. The brightener has already been added to the electrolyte and the electrolyte is ready for use. brightener only needs to be added again once it has worn off.

The electrolyte is available in:

  • 1 liter
  • 2 liters
  • 5 litres
  • 10 litres
  • 25 litres

The difference between V-Brite 100 and V-Brite 200 copper electrolyte

V-Brite 100 can apply a thicker layer of copper in a short time, depending on the process duration, with high filling power that evens out the surface. Suitable for filling small irregularities.

V-Brite 200 applies a thin, shiny layer of copper that is very suitable for preserving fine details. The finish of V-Brite 100 and 200 is otherwise similar in terms of gloss and appearance.

Both have the same end result in terms of shine and appearance.

Properties of Verzinkshop copper electrolyte

  • Applies a brighter, thicker copper layer with high filling capacity

What is the Electrolyte V-Brite 100 copper glazing system

This copper electrolyte works with the Verzinkshop V-Brite 100 glazing agent system that provides a very shiny finish with high filling power. This 2-part brightener system is already added to the electrolyte and consists of:

Electrolyte V-brite 100S starter brightener

Electrolyte V-Brite X maintenance brightener

The V-Brite X copper brightener is consumed during the process and must be re-added periodically or as soon as objects come out of the bath dull. This is supplied with the electrolyte.

Setting up the bath and selling parts

Selling objects and parts yourself with this electrolyte is easy.

  1. Fill a suitable plastic or glass tank with the copper electrolyte – the brightener is already added to the electrolyte.
  2. Hang two copper anodes in the bath.
  3. Connect the red plus wire of the power supply to anodes, leave the power supply off.
  4. Attach the object to a stick resting on the edge of the bath and dip it in the electrolyte, connect the black wire to the object.
  5. Measure the surface to be copper-plated and set the power supply to 0.2 amps per 10 cm².
  6. Turn on the power and let the process run until the desired layer is reached.

Copper-plating non-conductive items

Making non-conductive objects conductive first is easy: apply a thin layer of conductive paint, let it dry and then place it in the copper bath. For example, you can copper plastic, 3D print copper and even copper a twig or leaf. This method fits perfectly with electroforming with a copper electrolyte and also works for organic material such as leaves, flowers, wood or shells.

What is copper electrolyte V-Brite 100

V-Brite 100 is an acidic copper electrolyte for electrolytic copper-plating with high filling capacity. Under voltage, copper deposits evenly from the electrolyte on the workpiece so that small irregularities can be filled. A power supply is required for this process.
