Electropolishing allows you to electropolish copper and some other metals for a very smooth, clean, and shiny finish. Ideal if a workpiece has come out of the bath dull after the electroforming process or if a dark oxide layer has formed over time.
The liquid is ready-to-use and designed for quick results in seconds to a few minutes, even on complex shapes that cannot be easily polished mechanically.
In electropolishing, the workpiece acts as an anode and microscopic peaks dissolve in a controlled manner on the surface. This evens out the surface and leaves a bright, smooth result.
Take into account a relatively high power demand. For small objects such as rings, a 5–10 ampere power supply is often needed.
Safe mixing in case of dilution or post-treatment with water: always add acid to water and never the other way around.
