With the Verzinkshop Jewelry Electroforming Kit, you give your own designs and found materials an even, shiny copper layer while retaining fine details. Selling jewelry is easy with this complete kit. After applying a conductive coating, hang the workpiece in the bath and, if desired, finish it with nickel, chrome, bronze or a beautiful patina. Think of pendants and charms made of leaves or twigs, rings and earrings with structures from nature, wire frames with gemstones and small art objects with a durable metal appearance.
Electroforming adds a lustrous layer of copper to jewelry and jewelery. Popular applications include organic pendants of leaves and flowers, texture details of bark or shell, and custom settings around cabochons or small objects. The copper layer is tight, detail-retaining and forms an excellent basis for patina or a follow-up bath with nickel, chrome or bronze. This way you create handmade jewelry with exactly the finish you are looking for.
All electroforming kits have the same basic content, with the exception of the conductive coatings and sealers. These differ per kit so that you use the right conductive coating for your material. You are free to test conductive coatings and sealers on a variety of objects and materials. You are not bound by what is in the title or description.

Other electroforming materials, such as copper wire and more, can be found in electroforming accessories.
You can finish the copper with a patina for an aged look. You can also apply follow-up layers on top of it, such as nickel, chrome, bronze , and more.
To stop natural discoloration due to patina or to protect the workpiece, you can apply a sealer. You can use an oil-based sealer such as Verzinkshop DeepSeal Sealer or the Electroforming Acrylic Sealer. Without a sealer, copper will naturally patinate and further discolor.
Have workpieces come out of the bath dull or has a dark oxide layer formed? Then look at our electropolishing liquid for a quick, clear finish.
